After an unforgettable World Cup debut last season, Liepāja is ready to welcome the winter swimming community back. The 19th Latvian Open Winter Swimming Championship returns to the IWSA World Cup calendar and will be held at Beberliņi Lake on November 20–21, 2026.

The club “VeloRonis” Liepāja once again invites swimmers from around the globe to its calm lake waters and peaceful pine forest. Expect fast sprints, tough endurance races, fierce relays and the unmistakable spirit of winter swimming.

You can swim from 25 metres to 450 metres, or enter a team relay. There is a category for all ages. If you just want to try the cold water, join the non-timed swims.
